I’ve loved Art since I was a kid, but It wasn’t until 1994 when I was exposed to flameworked glass that I knew I had found my passion. In 2005, after 20 years in IT, I decided to leave corporate life and devote my time to flameworked glass. Since then I have sold my creations across the United States at Art festivals in 23 states from Washington to Florida. Check out a Pocket Galaxy!
I create flameworked pocket galaxy spheres and pendants from borosilicate glass, precious metal powders, fumes, and foils. I also use opals, and other minerals as inclusions in my pieces.
My primary inspiration is the night sky, and all things celestial. I grew up in Montana and remember seeing the milky way at night while camping in the mountains. I usually had a science fiction book in my pocket as well, so I could read by flashlight after we went to bed. From this the Pocket Galaxy was born.
